"Amazing!"
That is the best word I can use to describe the Pontiac G6 GXP.R! As some of you may know, I spent the weekend at the world famous
Mid Ohio Sports Car Course as the guest of Pontiac and Banner Engineering for the Rolex Grand-Am races that were held Sat, June 23rd
and Sun, June 24th.
I arrived in Ohio on Friday night to get some rest so I could be at the track bright and early Sat morning. We got to the track,
and I met the Banner Team along with quite a few people from Pontiac. I spent the morning getting to know everyone I could before
my 1:30pm speaking engagement where I spent some time talking to some Pontiac enthusiast that were at the track to partake in the
festivities that Pontiac had provided for them on Saturday. They were given a special parking area next to a huge hospitality area
along with the chance to drive the track for a parade lap (pretty cool). I told them a little about the experience of doing the
Speed TV show “Setup” which featured 10 amateur racers in identically prepared Pontiac Solstice GXP’s. I then spent some time
answering some questions and signing some autographs for the kids.
